Favoritism shown or patronage granted to relatives, as in business.

Note: While this may be a very honorable and helpful practice for some . This noticeably does undermine those who are trained, experienced and more qualified for these type of positions. On the same string, nepotism can go both ways in respect to the management - employee relationship. Some factors may include fairness, compassion and consistency thus disabling continual resentment and creating an atmosphere of trust. - ES
